Dia de los Muertos en la Misión

Loco Bloco celebrates this ancestral tradition every year on November 2nd at Brava Theater.  The ofrenda of performances on the mainstage are curated to engage the audience in a multicultural dialogue that invites the energies of our historic and recent ancestors into the space. Featured performers in recent years include  Cuicacalli Dance Company, Danza Xitlalli,

Familia Pena-Govea, MJ’s Brass Boppers and the Palestinian Youth Movement. This event that also features altares in the lobby of the Brava Theater, danza azteca in front and a post event procession, has become a destination point among the many rituals, events that light up the streets and parks of the Mission District in San Francisco.
