Carnaval San Francisco (CSF)

Loco Bloco Contingent in the San Francisco Grand Parade in May. Our group is one of the highlight continents of the parade, landing consistently in the Grand Prize category.  Springtime rehearsals are open to all community members who can choose to join a dance or musical section. On parade day, we burst into the parade route in resplendent costumes, accompanied by a large float with larger than life sculptures, a band, and a booming bateria. Our repertoire always features Rio style batucada,  along with either reggaeton, samba reggae, funk or New Orleans second line.
